Ministry Seeks Rs 1 Billion Emergency Funding to Resume Insurance Services

Following the halt of insurance-based services at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) due to Rs 400 million in unpaid dues, the Ministry of Health has requested the Ministry of Finance to release Rs 1 billion immediately. Other state-run facilities like Bir Hospital have reported being overwhelmed, with outpatient numbers surging to 3,000 per day amidst the funding crunch.
