Chandrakala Paudel Assumes Leadership of Nepal Insurance Authority

The Government of Nepal has appointed Chandrakala Paudel to lead the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA). This appointment comes at a critical juncture as the regulator oversees the transition to a “Risk-Based Capital” regime, replacing the previous chairman Janak Raj Sharma following a period of judicial and administrative flux.
