Overseas Branch Expansion Stalls for Major Nepali Insurers

Plans for several major insurers—including Nepal Life, Sanima Reliance, and Nepal Reinsurance—to open branches in Malaysia, Qatar, and the UAE have stalled. Despite receiving prior approval from the NIA over a year ago, companies are struggling to secure necessary licenses from foreign regulatory authorities in those labor-destination countries.
