Manufacturing Output Records 2.2% Growth in First Quarter

New data from the National Statistics Office (NSO) shows that Nepal’s manufacturing sector grew by 2.2% in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. While consumer goods like edible oil and chemicals saw significant production increases, growth in construction-related industries (cement and steel) remains weak, reflecting the slow recovery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
