New E-commerce Guidelines 2026 Mandate Registration and Audits

The Ministry of Commerce has enforced the E-commerce Guidelines 2026 as of this week. Under these new rules, all online business platforms must undergo a mandatory audit and certification by the Department of Commerce. Foreign platforms operating in Nepal are now required to have local representation and must adhere to specific ICT minimum standards to curb consumer fraud.
